Youth leadership & mentoring

From Participants to Young Leaders

Empowering Youth. Developing Leaders. Inspiring the Next Generation

At VivaKids, we believe that every young person has the potential to become a confident leader, responsible individual and positive role model in the community. Our commitment to youth development goes beyond sports participation.

Through meaningful learning experiences, leadership development and mentoring opportunities, we aim to nurture young people who demonstrate confidence, resilience, empathy, responsibility and a willingness to contribute to others.

Growing with vivakids

One of the most meaningful aspects of our work is seeing former VivaKids participants return to continue their personal development and give back to the younger generation.

Some of these youths first joined our programmes during their primary school years, participating in sports activities, team-building experiences and life-skills programmes.

As they progressed into their teenage years, they returned to VivaKids to participate in structured youth leadership development programmes.

Rather than immediately taking on mentoring responsibilities, these youths first underwent leadership activities, guidance and mentoring from experienced VivaKids mentors and coaches.

Through this process, they developed greater self-awareness, communication skills, confidence, teamwork and an understanding of the responsibilities involved in guiding others.

Following their leadership development experience, they were given opportunities to apply what they had learned by mentoring younger children during our VivaKids sports camps.

This meaningful progression reflects our belief that leadership should be nurtured through learning, guidance, practical experience and responsibility.

Develop Leaders Before Becoming Mentors

At VivaKids, we believe that effective mentoring begins with developing the individual.

Our youth leadership programmes provide opportunities for former participants to strengthen their personal and interpersonal skills before taking on responsibilities involving younger children.

This preparation helps youths understand that leadership is not simply about giving instructions, but about demonstrating positive values, supporting others and leading by example.
